5. Communications via WhatsApp Business Platform
We communicate with representatives of our business partners (carriers and shippers) via the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (“Meta”). If you interact with us via WhatsApp, we process your phone number, the content of messages exchanged with us, and related metadata (such as delivery and read status).
We use WhatsApp to send transactional, order-related notifications — such as transport order assignments, pickup and delivery confirmations — and to correspond regarding ongoing shipments. We only send messages to individuals with whom we have an existing business relationship. We do not use WhatsApp for marketing or unsolicited messaging.
Messages are transmitted through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Meta processes message transmission data in accordance with the WhatsApp Business Terms and Meta’s own privacy policies. Message content is stored in our transport management system for the duration of the business relationship.
Legal bases: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in efficient operational communication with our business partners (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to WhatsApp communication at any time by contacting us at info@frecaro.com, in which case we will use alternative channels.
6. Data Sharing
We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients: verified carriers in our network, solely for the purpose of fulfilling your vehicle transport request; Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, as provider of the WhatsApp Business Platform, for the transmission of messages as described in Section 5; Cloudflare, Inc., which provides our website hosting and analytics infrastructure; professional advisors, including lawyers and accountants, where necessary; and government authorities or law enforcement, where required by applicable law.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) unless adequate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected: quote requests and contact information for 24 months from your last interaction with us; business correspondence, including WhatsApp messages, for the duration of the commercial relationship and thereafter as required by Lithuanian accounting and tax law; website analytics data is anonymized and aggregated, retained indefinitely; cookie consent preferences for 180 days, after which you will be asked for your consent again.
